Green pea stew is a well known Middle Eastern stew that is typically served with vermicelli rice. It’s a warm comforting meal that you can enjoy all year round. This was one of the first recipes I learned to cook when I first got married. I’ve been making it ever since because it’s so easy and quick and full of flavour.

Ingredients
1 onion diced
1 9oz steak cut into cubes
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups crushed tomato sauce
4 cups frozen peas & carrots (or just frozen peas)
4 cups water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp 7 spices (all spice)
Salt & pepper
Instructions
In a pot, heat olive oil. Sauté for 2 minutes then add beef.
Sauté for another 2 minutes.
Add garlic, peas, crushed tomato, water & spices.
Bring to a boil then lower heat to med/low and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
Serve with vermicelli rice.
